When the Earth Asks You to Stop — Full Moon in Taurus, October 2026

There is a particular kind of Full Moon that does not arrive with drama. No urgency, no shaking things loose, no sense that something has to change right now. The Full Moon in Taurus on 26 October lands differently to most. It comes in quietly, like a deep breath that finally reaches the bottom of your lungs. Like the moment you put down something heavy you've been carrying for so long you forgot it had weight.

If you've spent the last several weeks managing, pushing forward, holding things together, this one might stop you in your tracks. Not because anything has gone wrong. Because your body is asking you, with unusual firmness, to actually rest.

What Taurus Feels Like in the Body

Taurus is an earth sign, and this Full Moon carries that earthiness in a very specific way. It asks you to come back into your physical self. Not to think about your body, not to assess it, not to plan for it. To simply inhabit it. To feel the weight of your feet on the floor, the warmth of a cup in your hands, the texture of fabric against your skin.

When I sit with a client on a Taurus Full Moon, there is often a particular quality of settling that happens in the first few minutes of a session. Something in the nervous system that recognises it has permission to land. Taurus pulls you back into the present. Back into the sensory world. Back into now.

For some women, that landing feels like relief. For others, it can bring up resistance. The body that finally gets to stop moving sometimes starts to feel everything it has been carrying while it was too busy to notice. That is not something going wrong. That is the earth asking you to be honest about where you actually are.

The Taurus Themes: What This Moon Is Working With

Stability and groundedness. Taurus rules the earth, the physical body, and everything that roots us to the present moment. This Full Moon asks: what actually makes you feel solid?

Abundance and what we value. Taurus is associated with Venus, which governs what we find beautiful, nourishing, and worth protecting. Under this Full Moon, the question is not 'am I doing enough?' but 'am I filling myself back up?' What is genuinely nourishing to you, not productive, not useful to anyone else, but deeply, physically restorative?

Slow, sustained progress. Where some moons want revolution, Taurus wants preparation. It is the moon of building something that lasts, not because it is easy but because it is solid. What you have been quietly tending, what you have been showing up for without fanfare, is what this moon asks you to acknowledge. Not to push further. To recognise how far you have already come.

The physical body as sacred. Taurus rules the body in a way that is not about fitness or performance or how the body looks. It is about the body as a receiver. A place where your energy actually lives. When your energetic field is depleted from absorbing others' stress and emotions, the body is often the first place it shows. The tight shoulders. The low energy that sleep doesn't fix. The sense of being behind your own eyes rather than fully inside your own skin.

How Reiki Meets This Energy

Reiki is, at its heart, earth energy. It works through presence, through the hands, through the laying down of the body and the quiet of the nervous system. It is one of the most Taurus-compatible healing practices I know, because it asks nothing of you except to stop and receive.

Under a Taurus Full Moon, I often find that what clients need most is not fixing. Not clearing a specific thing or working through a specific issue. It is simple, deep restoration. The kind that reaches beneath the thinking and the managing and the holding-it-all-together, and refills something that has been running on empty.

What Reiki does in those sessions is quiet the nervous system enough that the body can actually do its own work. Most of us have been in a low-level state of vigilance for so long that we have forgotten what it feels like to be fully, safely relaxed. Relaxed in the way the body needs in order to repair itself. To integrate. To process. To actually rest.

What Crystal Healing Offers at This Moon

Earth-toned crystals — green aventurine, malachite, dark tourmaline — arranged on natural linen cloth in warm candlelight

Crystal healing is a separate practice to Reiki. I offer both as individual sessions, and they work through entirely different mechanisms. For the Taurus Full Moon, the crystals that come alive most are the ones with the deepest relationship to the earth and the physical body.

Green aventurine carries the frequency of abundance and growth without striving. Under Taurus energy, it supports a softening of the scarcity mindset that exhaustion tends to produce. When you are running on empty, the world contracts. Green aventurine has a way of suggesting to the body that there is enough. That you are enough. That replenishment is actually available.

Black tourmaline is the grounding stone above all others, and Taurus Full Moon is its time. For women who spend a lot of time in their heads, in other people's emotions, in the worry and the carrying, black tourmaline creates something the body can literally feel: a sense of weight, of downward pull, of roots. It is the physical experience of being returned to your own body rather than scattered through everyone else's lives.

Smoky quartz is here for the exhaustion that has weight to it. For women who have been carrying a lot for a long time, who feel not just tired but heavy, smoky quartz has an almost physical quality of drawing accumulated stress out of the field and down into the earth. It works with the Taurus energy because both are earth-governed. Together, they create the conditions for real release.

In a crystal healing session around this Full Moon, I work intuitively with what your field is showing me. But the thread that runs through all of it is the same: coming home to your body. Releasing what isn't yours. Making contact with the ground.

The Invitation This Moon Is Extending

Taurus Full Moons are not about doing something. They are about stopping doing long enough to notice what your body is trying to tell you.

What has been depleted? What does your body need that isn't on anyone else's agenda? What would genuine rest feel like, not managed rest, not scheduled rest, but the kind where you actually land?

For women who have built a life around being needed, being present, being available, this can be the most revolutionary act of all: to stop, to settle, and to let yourself be filled back up.

If You Would Like to Work Together

If this resonates, I would love to support you through this season. Both Reiki and crystal healing are offered as remote sessions, conducted entirely at a distance from wherever you are in the world. Before we begin, there is a short consultation where I ask what is present for you and I listen. Afterwards we debrief briefly: what I noticed, what shifted, what might support you next.

Nothing is required of you except the willingness to receive.

Book a Reiki session or a crystal healing session at Flexiwellness and we will find a time that works for you. I look forward to meeting you in the work.
