Yoga Holiday in Andalusia 15th -19th of May, 2019
This third year in Andalusia carried a different kind of depth — a sense of ease, joy, and natural connection that unfolded without needing to be guided.

We returned once again to the mountains near Comares, to the peaceful setting of Casa Santoshio, surrounded by avocado and almond trees, with endless views across the Andalusian hills. The space felt familiar, yet somehow even more alive — as if each year had layered something new into the experience.

Although the retreat was not formally described as a women-only space, it naturally became one. A group of women came together, and from the very beginning there was a softness, a warmth, and an openness that allowed everyone to settle in quickly.

The days moved between dynamic morning practices and slower yin and restorative sessions in the afternoons, with meditation gently woven throughout. But beyond the structure, it was the in-between moments that shaped the retreat — blessing our meals together, sharing long conversations late into the night, laughing, moving, resting, and simply being.

We travelled to Granada, wandered through its cobbled streets, listened to live music, and felt immersed in the richness of Spanish culture and history. On the way back, we discovered a natural spring — a quiet, hidden place where we stepped into the water and felt completely refreshed, connected, and present.
There was something very real about this retreat — a sense of community forming, friendships deepening, and the early essence of the women’s circles I now hold already beginning to emerge.

Playful Connection through Partner Yoga
There was a lightness woven into the practice that year — moments of play, trust, and connection through partner yoga.

On the terrace, surrounded by the mountains, we explored movement together in a way that brought both laughter and presence. It wasn’t about perfect alignment — it was about connection, support, and allowing ourselves to be seen in a different way.

These shared practices created a beautiful balance between depth and joy.

Nourishing Meals & Shared Rituals
Meals were an important part of the retreat experience.

We gathered around the table, sharing colourful, nourishing dishes prepared with care — fresh vegetables, vibrant salads, warm meals, and sweet, simple moments of togetherness.

Before eating, we would pause and bless the food — creating a small ritual that brought presence into something so simple. These shared meals became moments of connection, conversation, and quiet appreciation.

Natural Spring Experience
On our way back from Granada, we stopped at a natural spring — a place that felt almost hidden, surrounded by trees and untouched nature.

We stepped into the water together, laughing, splashing, and fully embracing the moment. The water was cool, refreshing, and incredibly grounding. There was something freeing about being there — playful, present, and completely immersed in nature.

It became one of those unexpected highlights of the retreat — simple, joyful, and deeply connecting.
Beach Moments & Ocean Connection
Time by the sea in Torre del Mar brought a different kind of energy into the retreat.

We walked barefoot along the shore, felt the waves against our skin, and gathered together in the sun. There was laughter, closeness, and a sense of lightness — the kind that comes when you feel completely at ease in your body and with the people around you.

These moments by the ocean felt expansive and grounding at the same time.

Joy, Playfulness & Being Fully Present
There was a natural sense of playfulness throughout the retreat.

Whether in the water, during yoga, or simply sitting together, there was space to laugh, to be light, and to enjoy the moment without needing anything more.

These were the moments where everyone could soften — letting go of roles, expectations, and the outside world — and simply be.
Granada – Culture, Music & Exploration
Our day in Granada added a completely different layer to the retreat.

We wandered through cobbled streets, listened to live music echoing through the city, and felt immersed in the richness of Spanish culture. There was something inspiring about being there together — exploring, discovering, and experiencing beauty beyond the retreat space.

It brought movement, curiosity, and a sense of expansion into the journey.
